Dear Bradford Elementary School Community,
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dinorah Peralta as the new Principal of Bradford Elementary School, effective July 1, 2024. Dinorah brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and passion for education to this critical role, and I am confident that she will serve our students, families, and staff with excellence.
Ms. Peralta rose to the top of the initial pool of nineteen administrators who applied for the position, eight of whom were extended invitations to participate in the interview process. Five candidates completed the series of interviews. Through this comprehensive assessment, two standout candidates emerged, demonstrating exceptional qualifications and suitability for the role. The interview process involved multiple rounds with interview teams consisting of parents, Bradford teachers, and leadership representatives from across the school district, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of each candidate’s abilities and alignment with the school’s mission. While one of our finalists declined to proceed with a final interview, the rigorous selection process continued, ultimately resulting in the appointment of Dinorah Peralta as the new Principal of Bradford Elementary School.
Ms. Peralta has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to service, beginning with her military service in the US Army, where she excelled in leadership roles at a young age. Driven by a deep desire to make a difference in students’ lives, Dinorah pursued higher education, earning degrees from Salem State University and Cambridge College. Additionally, she completed the prestigious Lynch Leadership Academy at Boston College, further honing her skills as an educational leader. Dinorah is no stranger to our community, having served as a long-time teacher and assistant principal in Haverhill. Her journey in education began right here in our district after she obtained her bachelor’s degree.
One of Dinorah’s many strengths is her ability to connect with diverse communities. As a bilingual and bicultural educator, she brings a unique perspective that enriches our school environment. Her personal experience as a parent of two Haverhill students gives her valuable insight into the needs and aspirations of our families. It is also worth noting that Dinorah is deeply rooted in the Haverhill community. She is the child of a long-time Haverhill staff member, embodying a legacy of service and dedication to our schools.
As we welcome Dinorah Peralta to her new role, I invite the entire Haverhill community to congratulate her and offer our full support. Simultaneously, I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to retiring principal Diane Seibold for her outstanding service as the Principal of Bradford Elementary School. Together, let us continue to strive for excellence in education and create a nurturing environment where every student can thrive.
Sincerely,
Margaret Marotta EdD
Superintendent of Schools
