Dear BES Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! Please review the key dates, procedures, and updates below to help prepare for a smooth start:

Open House (Tuesday, Sept 1)

  • Lobby Stop: Please stop by the lobby first to watch a short welcome video from Ms. Peralta and visit our PTO and YMCA tables before heading to classrooms.
  • Session 1 (4:30–5:15 PM): Grades 1, 3, and Compass/Fundamentals.
  • Session 2 (5:30–6:15 PM): Grades K, 2, and 4.
  • Parking: Parking is limited, so please walk or carpool if possible. Parking next to the cemetery is strictly prohibited.
First Days of School
  • Grades 1–4: Wednesday, Sept 2 (Drop-off starts at 8:45 AM; classes start at 9:00 AM).
  • Kindergarten: Wednesday, Sept 9 (Please call the main office immediately if your student's screening is not yet scheduled).
  • Breakfast: Free breakfast is available to all students daily.
  • Friday, September 4th is an Early Release Day, Dismissal starts at 11:35 AM!
Drop-Off & Transportation
  • Car Drop-Off: Form a single line on the right side of the street; staff will direct vehicles into two lines along the school. Do not block the bus lane, and stay in your car until staff assists your student.
  • Driving Safety: Drive slowly and remain off mobile devices during drop-off to keep everyone safe.
  • Bus Passes: All students will receive a new bus pass and must swipe on and off the bus daily. Please expect minor route delays during the first few days.
