Husky Highlights 10/02/26 Video
Dear Bradford Elementary Families,
If you prefer reading a quick summary over watching this week's Husky Highlights video broadcast, here are the key updates, events, and important safety reminders for our school community:
September Attendance Champions: Congratulations to Ms. Borde’s and Mrs. Vinci’s classes for achieving top overall attendance for Attendance Awareness Month! Students in these classes will receive a notice regarding an upcoming Attendance Breakfast.
World Bullying Prevention Month & Blue Shirt Mondays: October is World Bullying Prevention Month, and Bradford Elementary is standing together against bullying. Please have your child wear BLUE every Monday in October to show unity and kindness, starting with our first #BlueShirtDay on Monday, October 5th. Let’s #BeKind together!
October Calendar & Conferences: The October Letter Day Calendar is now available. Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, October 15th, from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. Keep an eye out for sign-up information coming directly from your child’s teacher.
-
Boosterthon & Fun Run: Boosterthon kicks off on Friday, October 9th with visits from Rocket Robby, leading up to the Fun Run on Wednesday, October 21st. Please have your child wear their grade-level color on Fun Run day:
Kindergarten: 9:45 – 10:45 AM (Wear Purple)
Grade 1: 12:20 – 1:20 PM (Wear Green)
Grade 2: 1:30 – 2:30 PM (Wear Blue)
Grade 3: 9:45 – 10:45 AM (Wear Red)
Grade 4: 1:30 – 2:30 PM (Wear White)
Parent Drop-off Safety: Please do not let students out of your vehicle until directed by staff. Students must never exit cars before reaching the bus loop.
-
Bus Behavior & Expectations: We have seen an increase in behavior and safety issues on our buses recently. Please help us by reviewing these expectations with your child:
Remain seated at all times while the bus is moving.
Use a Level 1 (whisper) voice.
No eating or drinking on the bus.
Keep bus passes attached directly to backpacks.
Food & Birthday Policy: Due to severe student allergies, no food items or sweets may be brought in for birthdays or used during classroom lessons. Families wishing to celebrate birthdays may send in non-food items (e.g., stickers, pencils, small favors).
-
School Property Rules:
No dogs are allowed on school grounds at any time.
No electric bikes or scooters are permitted before or after school, and students cannot be picked up using them.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support in keeping our school community safe and thriving!
Respectfully,Dinorah
